Cardinalidae

Cardinalidae is a family of passerine birds that includes cardinals, grosbeaks, and buntings. These birds are typically medium-sized, with strong, conical bills adapted for seed eating. Many species are brightly colored—especially the males—and they are known for their clear, melodious songs. Cardinalids are found primarily in the Americas, occupying forests, shrublands, and woodland edges.
