Cicindelidae

Cicindelidae is a family of beetles commonly known as tiger beetles. They are fast-moving, predatory insects characterized by long legs, large eyes, and strong sickle-shaped mandibles used to capture prey. Often brightly colored with metallic patterns, tiger beetles typically inhabit sandy soils, riverbanks, and open ground where they actively hunt other small insects.
