Dynastinae
Dynastinae is a subfamily of beetles within Scarabaeidae, commonly known as rhinoceros beetles. They are characterized by their large size and, in males, prominent horns on the head or thorax used in combat for mates. Mostly nocturnal, these beetles are strong fliers, and their larvae typically develop in decaying wood or soil, feeding on plant matter.
