Mobulidae
Mobulidae is a family of large rays that includes manta rays and devil rays. They are characterized by broad, wing-like pectoral fins, flattened bodies, and distinctive forward-facing cephalic fins used to funnel plankton into the mouth. Found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide, mobulids are highly mobile, pelagic filter feeders known for their graceful swimming and, in some species, acrobatic leaps from the water.
