Psittacidae
Psittacidae is a family of parrots commonly known as “true parrots,” including many familiar species such as macaws, African greys, and Amazons. They are characterized by strong, curved bills, zygodactyl feet (two toes forward, two back), and vibrant plumage. Native to tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, psittacids are highly social and intelligent, feeding on seeds, fruits, nuts, and sometimes insects.
