Ramphastidae is a family of tropical birds commonly known as toucans. They are easily recognized by their large, colorful bills, short wings, and vibrant plumage. Native to Central and South American forests, toucans are primarily frugivorous but also eat insects and small animals, and they play an important role in seed dispersal.
