Trochilidae

Trochilidae is a family of small, highly specialized birds known as hummingbirds. They are characterized by their rapid wingbeats, ability to hover in place, and long, slender bills adapted for feeding on nectar. Found exclusively in the Americas, hummingbirds often have iridescent plumage and play an important role in pollination.
